Named in loving memory of Katie Vanderhoek.
Like her father Gerry, the Director of Flight Operations at Airshow London, Katie was passionate about planes and airshows. For years, Katie’s Bears have been travelling the world with various aircrews. The crews take them around the world on the flight decks, on the ramps, bases all over the globe, and take pictures to share with the kids at Children’s Hospital who follow those adventures.

Katie’s Bears were created as a unique initiative to help Katie experience the world through your adventures. WHAT IS KATIE’S CORNER?
Katie’s Corner is a special area at SkyDrive dedicated to Children’s Health Foundation. This space celebrates Katie’s passion for aviation and continues her legacy by supporting current patients at Children’s Hospital. Each year, over 100 children and their families from the hospital and surrounding areas are invited to attend the show. This initiative offers them a chance to escape the challenges of everyday life and enjoy the airshow together, creating lasting memories with their loved ones.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Katie’s Bears directly benefit Children’s Health Foundation. By donating, you help carry forward Katie’s legacy of aviation enthusiasm and compassion for children.
- Receive a Free Katie’s Bear: During the show, make a purchase of $100 or more from the Airshow London store and receive a FREE Katie’s Bear as a token of our appreciation. Additionally, for every $100 spent, $5 will be donated to Children’s Health Foundation.
- Minimum Donation: Katie’s Bears are also available for a minimum donation of $50, with all proceeds supporting Children’s Health Foundation.
