Canadian Forces Snowbirds
One of the most popular military aerial demonstration teams in the world, the Snowbirds were created in 1971. The Snowbirds are featured in about 60 air shows each year, performing with experienced members of the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canadair CT-114 Tutor jets. Each 35-minute performance includes over 50 formations and maneuvers with distances as close as 4 feet of wing overlap and at speeds ranging from 110 to 465 mph.
Every year, the Air Force selects a special group of people to make up the CF-18 Demonstration Team. The CF-18 Demonstration Team is a truly national team; its members all come from RCAF units across the country, and all are selected for their superior performance, dedication to excellence, and the desire to represent Canada’s operational air force.
United States Air Force Thunderbirds
The Thunderbirds squadron is an Air Combat Command unit composed of eight pilots (including six demonstration pilots), four support officers, three civilians and more than 130 enlisted personnel performing in 25 career fields. A Thunderbirds air demonstration is a mix of formation flying and solo routines. The four-aircraft diamond formation demonstrates the training and precision of Air Force pilots, while the solo aircraft highlight the maximum capabilities of the F-16 Fighting Falcon
US Army Golden Knights
Since 1962, the Golden Knights have conducted more than 16,000 shows in 50 states and 48 countries. They’ve earned the U.S. Army 2,148 gold, 1,117 silver, and 693 bronze medals in national and international skydiving competitions and have broken 348 world records! The team will join us at Airshow London for thrilling daytime performances and a jump in the night show that will have you on the edge of your seat until the moment they touch ground.
